Watercolor Realism Simplified

Class Length: One Week, December 13-20
Live Online Classes through Zoom:
Painting Class Live Online: Monday, December 16th from 7:00 – 9:00 pm EST
The Review and Q&A Live Online: Friday, December 20th at 7:00pm EST

Class Cost: Introductory Price of Only $50!

In This Session we will be Painting: A Poinsettia Flower

In this one week course I will break down the stages of painting a realistic watercolor into easy to understand steps.

How it Works:
The line drawing, reference photo, color mixing chart, and materials list will all be available for you to download at the start of class in the online Facebook group on Friday, December 13th and you will have a few days to get your materials and ask any questions you might have about getting you image drawn and paper ready. We will have two live online class sessions through Zoom. The first live session will be on Monday, December 16th from 7:00 – 9:00 pm where I will demonstrate how to paint the entire painting. You are welcome to paint with me in real time or just watch the class and ask any questions you might have. The class will be recorded and downloaded into the private Facebook group for you to watch through the close of the class; so you can feel free to take your time and paint at your own pace.
Throughout the week you will be able to post your progress photos and finished paintings in the group and get any help or feedback you need.
In the second live online session, on Friday, December 20th at 7:00pm, I will go over your finished paintings. We will talk about what worked and didn’t work in your painting and you can ask any questions you might have. This class recording will also be posted into the group if you can’t make the live class.
For the full week of class, the private Facebook group will be open for you to post your progress and finished work and get any help or questions answered you might need along the way! All live sessions and class information will be posted in the group that you will have access to for the week of class and one more week after it’s officially over. You will have access to all the information in the Facebook group until December 27th.
This course is perfect for beginner to intermediate watercolor artists. You can follow along with me and/or watch the recording of the live sessions as many times as you would like while you do your painting.
At the end of the class you will have a stunning finished watercolor painting as well as know how to break down the painting into steps to simplify the process!

What you need to take this course: (A full detailed list will be given when you sign up for class.)

1. Watercolor paper: I recommend Arches, Fabriano, or Kilimanjaro cold pressed 140lb or 300lb paper. You need artists grade paper, not student grade.
2. Watercolor Brushes: I use Holbein Gold Round brushes, size 4, 8, and 12 should be good for this painting. Make sure you have good artist grade watercolor round brushes that come to a nice point.
3. Watercolor Paint: I use Holbein paint, but just make sure you have good artist quality watercolor paint. The exact color list will be given to you after you sign up but reds and greens will do.
4. Masking tape, Saral graphite tracing paper or graphite pencil, palette or white plate, water bin.
5. Computer or mobile phone to join the live zoom meeting. Zoom is free to use and I will send you a link for the meetings.
6. A Facebook account so you have access to the group class information.
